I am incorporating, you are incorporating, it is incorporating, we are incorporating.... Google News is incorporating... The world’s information is within reach. Annie Abrahams compiles and mixes the throbbing rumour. Words, images and voices of the media follow one another to compose a multilingual chorus in a univocal format. A dumb voice shows up, affixed as a counterpoint, breaking the unbridled tempo to whisper its persistent message of reinsurance. ALL + 1? Is this voice the other voice? The alleviating voice of the artist? Or on the contrary exacerbates it the duality of the daily message, the collective distilling of frights and insurances? Fear, loneliness and fragility are topics cherished by Annie Abrahams. She especially excavates in the dubious zone of the eternal search for identity by the communicating subject. A dream of ONE; to be undivided with or without the machine is echoed by News Series 2, with its split screen. Who speaks with whom? By whom we are spoken? The partition of Being Human, written for voices separated, dislocated, deteriorated, associated, united, joint and confronted in the instrumented sociality of the Internet, follows its long course.

Annie Abrahams makes video, installation and performance pieces as well as net art works.
She teached at the university of Montpellier in the arts department between 2002 and 2005.
Since 2006, she is the commissioner of the Instants project on panoplie.org.
She is also the curator of the net performances series Breaking Solitude in collaboration with panoplie.org.
